I caught the end of NBC’s Weekend Today last Sunday morning. They were talking about being “green” in every room. When addressing the problem of junk mail, they showed the following stack of paper that contains at least two issues of Craft magazine… Craft (or Make) is definitely not considered junk in my house!

It is November and somehow my magnolia tree is not aware of that fact… I took this picture last night. I hope the tree is not wasting too much energy with all these buds.

Who would have thought that a broken clock in a Subaru Forester is so common… Mine stopped working about half a year ago, it usually displays the time for a minute or two after I start the car, but then the display turns off. Initially, I could restore it with a good whack, but that stopped working too.
So, I googled, and I found pages not only with reports about the “broken Forester clock problem”, but also with repair instructions. It turns out that a cold solder point is the cause.
I just touched up the solder points, let’s see if the fix actually works (and for how long).

As I wrote earlier, the Enfocus Browser – one of my favorite PDF tools – was taken off the Enfocus web page. It looks like the reason was not that Enfocus no longer wanted to distribute the tool, but that they were working on a new version: The new and improved version 3.0 can now be downloaded from their site:

When I left the Wegmans parking lot today, I noticed something odd… I actually had to turn around to check it out, and here is what I found:
I guess this is something you find funny until you actually are the one who has to unwrap the car after being done with your shift.
